Sales Executive – March 2019


RaceNation is a Sports Technology Company, uniquely providing; Event Registration, Club Membership Management and Fundraising on one online platform.


We are now looking to immediately hire an experienced sales professional to expand our Sales and Marketing team at our Brighton based offices.


Our Event Registration clients range from large city half marathons with thousands of competitors, to intimate groups climbing the worlds highest peaks. Club Membership Management is a brand-new addition to our suite of services with recurring membership payments immediately accessible to club secretaries or managers, whilst we have also raised millions of pounds for good causes using our fully integrated fundraising platform SportsGiving.


RaceNation provides the perfect tech-based solution to events, clubs and charity fundraising needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

Having access to the sports world, the successful candidate will be tasked with the continued expansion of our business. You will find and onboard new mass participation events, clubs and charities through our structured sales plan and management software, whilst building relationships in the market to uncover further new business opportunities. You will also be tasked with raising our brand awareness and the administration and reporting of this success.

Significant opportunity will be given to mould this job into a suitable role, with company representation and travel at some key events required at times. There is the real opportunity for the expansion of this role into a senior position in time, with planned additions to this team in the future.

A love of sports and healthy active living is a plus, as is a qualification in sales and marketing, but not essential. At RaceNation, we work in a friendly, fast-paced, and innovative environment, we are ambitious and enthusiastic and are looking for like-minded people to join our team.

You will be working closely in support of the Executive Director, joining an integrated team to assist in the rapid development of our Sports Technology company.


Salary: A competitive salary will be offered with structured commission opportunities.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of our platform and its 3 product areas
  • Use our full suite of HubSpot services to improve the journey for inbound enquiries and engage and win new business
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals, quota and activity
  • Support enterprise level sales opportunities
  • Raise brand awareness
  • Create sales potential from existing & new customers
  • Maintain regular contact with existing and potential customers
  • Maintain up to date customer contact and mailing list
  • Sales enquiries requiring prices, lead time and/or technical information, to be received and dealt with in a timely manner
  • Send product development ideas and queries to the relevant teams

Key skills:

  • Two years + previous experience in a similar role
  • Superb ability to build rapport quickly, have a professional phone manner and have exceptional communication skills
  • An innovative mind with the understanding of technology
  • An interest in the event and charity sectors
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and time management
  • You’ll have energy, a positive mind-set and be driven to succeed as part of a team
  • Strong IT skills and experience using CRM systems, with knowledge of MS Office and Mac and Windows based OS.
  • Full UK driving licence for visiting existing and potential clients
